E Komo Mai! Welcome to the Hawaii LOST Fan Club, an informal group of people on "The Island" who love ABC's hit television series LOST." For now, our website is merely a shell of what's to come, with many hatches and valleys left to explore. If you'd like to join the club, all you need to do is join the mailing list. We'll keep you updated on local "LOST" news and events, track what's going on behind the scenes, share star sightings, organize fun and friendly group gatherings... and talk a lot about the show, too. |
Tuesday, 20 February 2007 |
Teddy Wells, long-time Honolulu resident who played an "Other" on ABC's hit television show "LOST," is opening a Tropical Smoothie Café on Piikoi St. Wells played Ivan, an "Other" who helped capture Sawyer and assisted in Ben's surgery in several Season 3 "LOST" episodes. He and business partner John Griffis, a UH professor, are franchisees of the Florida-based Tropical Smoothie chain, and will open their doors in March on the ground floor of Hawaiki Tower, across from Ala Moana Center. "I have to stay in great physical shape for my role as Ivan and I fell in love with the Tropical Smoothie concept of ‘healthy food for people on the go’ and decided to bring it to Hawaii," Wells said.
The Tropical Smoothie Café will offer more than forty different fresh fruit smoothies, wraps and sandwiches. Wells and Griffis also plan to offer the venue to a variety of Honolulu performing artists so that the Café will become a vibrant location for the arts. The chain has over 200 locations and the Hawaiki Tower location will be the second location in Hawaii (the first is in Kona). |
